Sadguru Shri Samarth Narayan Maharaj of Harihara in Karnataka, elaborated and practiced Samarth Parampara founded by Shri Sadguru Samartha Ramadas Maharaj who was guru of Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj, and widely spread Shri RamNaam Japam, strengthened the tradition of Bhakthi devotion, and established the Dharma through Bhajans, Naama Sankeethanas, Yagna Yagas and cow protection. During his life, he performed thousands of rituals in many places across the country and earned the title of Saptaha  Sadguru. He also performed great yagas such as Ashvamedha Yaga and Shatakoti Ram Naam Yaga, which no one has heard of, and became famous as a great saint and Sadguru.

Our beloved Sadguru Sri Rajaanna Guruji Maharaj is a very close and beloved disciple of such a great saint Sri Sadguru Samarth Narayan Maharaj. Under the guidance and intuitions of his Guru, he is following the ideals set by his Guru and following his path, and has been implementing and preserving the Samarth tradition of the Sadguru tradition. To continue the selfless Sadguru Seva practiced by him, his many service-minded disciples associated with him from the last twenty-five years, have joined him with even greater determination to serve the mankind and the downtrodden with seva manobhava. This instils religious and grateful feelings among the people of the villages for spiritual enhancement and satisfactory life.

Some of the important objectives of Sadhguru Samartha Narayana Pratishthan are given below:-

• Drinking water is essential for everyone. Providing Pure Drinking water (R.O water plants) to the public in villages, temples, schools, etc., where it is needed.
• For the sake of good health for all, Health check-up camps by skilled Ayurvedic and Allopathic doctors are organized for the elderly in small villages or places where they are needed, to help them get medicines as per their convenience, and to organize the progress of yoga practice, and pranayama.
• To encourage greater use of solar energy for enhancing green energy, Helping to install solar power zones for preparing prasadam in temples at small villages where there is a need. To provide a helping hand by encouraging the installation of solar lights even in some poor village people wherever required.
• Undertake the renovation of temples in places where there is a need, as per the direction and decision of Sadguru Shri. Rajanna Guruji Maharaj, which have been neglected or are in a poor condition where pujas are not being held and arranging for regular Puja Vidhis at temples.
• Cow service is an integral part of this foundation. Lendig a helping hand to small cow shelters for purchasing fodder for the cows. Organizing Cattle health camps to provide medical facilities for cows. Establishing a new cow shelter or helping in establishing a cow shelter.
• Preserving the Ground Water level is most important at villages. Helping the villages to increase groundwater, such as building small wells, harvesting rainwater, and helping to build check dams.
